Piano Lessons

Private lessons are available for beginners, intermediate, or advanced. (See our Music Readiness Program below for preschool students ages 4-6.)

Piano lessons include

  • music theory
  • music history
  • technique

for well-rounded, artistic interpretation.

Lessons may be taken for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour once per week. Performance classes are offered once per semester to promote musicianship in an informal group setting.

Recitals and various performance opportunities such as auditions, competitions, and festivals are available. State Theory Exams are administered through TMTA.

In-home lessons within Loop 1604 are available for an additional fee, per family.

Art Instruction

Private in-home art instruction is available for ages 8 and up. Lessons are typically an hour in length, once per week.

Whether you enjoy painting portraits, still life, or landscapes, an appreciation for beauty is the ultimate goal. The instructor works in charcoal, pastel, watercolor, and oil.

In-home service is available in the central San Antonio area within Loop 410 for both daytime and early evening hours.

Art & Music Appreciation

Gather with other students of the arts for discussions on composers, artists, and various topics of music history. Elementary level students (grades 1 – 6) enjoy a “Story Time” format. Intermediate -Advance level students (7th grade to adults) gather for a lecture/discussion forum.

THC Membership required.


Beginning Guitar: Learn the basics including chords, notes, and strumming. Be able to accompany your singing! Available on Wednesdays.

Voice Instruction: Available for students ages 13 yrs. and up!

Preschool Music Readiness

Course Description: Tales of a Musical Journey is a premier preschool music program for children ages 4-6. The course develops:

  • Spiritual Creativity: Music encourages Imagination and self-expression, essential for emotional development. Creativity is further developed in conjunction with Art and Literature interwoven into the course.
  • Cognitive Skills: Attention, Memory, Thinking. The study of piano fosters concentration and has been shown to raise conceptual math scores and language skills.
  • Professional Skills: Motor skills, Coordination, and Rhythm. Both small and large muscles are strengthened through piano playing. Rhythm is introduced through the natural use of rhyme and speech. Students learn the layout of the piano keyboard as they discover concepts such as high and low, loud and soft, and fast and slow.

Professional Recording Services

Offering live on-site and in-studio recording services with Reus Sound Technologies. We will record recitalsperformances, lectures, or any event you would like to have saved in an audio format. We come to your event, venue, or location and set up a complete digital recording service.
